Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Hi all,

Like many others here, I have not received a decision or any acknowledgement within 24 hours of UKVCAS appointment for ILR (LR)! This is despite paying an extortionate £3208.20+£145 Sopra Steria fees. What's the point of super priority if they can't meet the deadline? not even an acknowledgement of delay!

I had my appointment in 19th December 8 am, was expecting a decision by Friday. Can anyone advise me about the next steps if a decision is not made on Monday? Can I claim refund for the £800 paid for the super priority service.

Many thanks,

HO must be celebrating Christmas too much! Lol. You should claim for £800 refund once you receive your decision. Good luck anyways!

Hello everyone,

I am applying for FLR (M) extension through super priority service. Online application submitted on 23rd December 2019.
Biometrics appointment: 31st December 19 @9am.

Who receives the decision email? Applicant or lawyer? In my application, both mine and my lawyer's email was given. And who receives the Brp card as well?

Thank you

Hi All,

Just to update, following my super priority appointment on 19th Dec still haven't received any decision from the HO. Yesterday, I called the HO call centre to escalate and within an hour received the email below:

" Thank you for contacting UKVI Contact Centre.
Our records show your application has not yet been completed.
We are unable to advise when a decision will be made but you will be notified in writing once made. Until such time, we are unable to assist further. Should the caseworker require further information and/or documents they will contact you.
We are sorry we cannot be of further assistance at this time."

However, the right to work status have changed to following "You can work in the UK. There is no limit on how long you can stay in the UK.' Note I'm currently on Tier 2 and it was showing the expiry date of visa before yesterday afternoon.

Not sure what to make of it until the decision from HO, does anyone have similar experience? Also is there a refund request procedure for the super priority service fees?

Many thanks,

If the right to work status has changed, then you should be ok. You should receive approved decision letter within 5 working days hopefully.

Hi All,
I paid for super priority, got my card but there was an error on the validity, I was told to send it back within 10days, I posted it back 2nd of Dec, I am yet to get a response from anyone. I was suppose to travel with my kids for Christmas, I couldn’t. All effort to get a response from the department fail through. I will like to know if I am suppose to get a refund regarding the fact that I never got my card in time. I am yet to get my card. Does anyone have any idea as to what to do. I am super upset, feels like I failed my kids.

No chance of a refund. The super priority fee is for a quick decision and NOT the brp card delivery or card error.

What exactly was the date error and what exactly did you apply for??

My letter says valid for 30months which is suppose to me till June 2022 but my card says June 2021. I was told to send it back within 10days, if I knew they were not going to have it rectified immediately, would have told them I was travelling and have it posted to them when I get back. What do you think I should do now as I haven’t got any response back from them, don’t know if it’s been received or not, though it was signed for but wasn’t the case worker who signed for it. I have sent an email to complaint@homeoffice.gov but no reply yet. Any advice?

Decision communicated via email on 12/12. Received letter on 14/12. After not receiving BRP I contacted DX who informed me that HO recalled the cards on 17/10... spoke to my caseworker who said this was a mistake and it would be resent. Over two weeks now and still waiting

Hi there,
I have a situation where my BRP delivery card was delivered extremely late to me due to the HO and BRP delivery team being so slack and useless.
Long story cut short, I have emailed the complaints team numerous times, called up their helpline which keep referring me to the complaints team.
I sent my first email on 04/12/2019 and only received a response yesterday with them stating they do not think I am entitled to a refund.
I understand that paying for the super priority service gave me my decision on the same day, which they did. Then following that a letter from HO(dated 11/11/2019) stated I should have received my BRP card 7-10 working days of the letter, which means I was to receive my card by 25/11/2019.
My card was reported as lost by our lawyer and when the team tried delivering the card, they could not find the address even though they were given a full address and post code.
I have been sent on a wild goose chase and eventually my BRP card was delivered to me overseas on 26th December 2019. An entire 32 working days of the date I was supposed to.

My question is, does anyone have a contact of who I can get in touch regarding this situation and the immorality of the super priority service.
I still feel like I am entitled to this refund as the service was not delivered to me as show HO stated on the decision letter of receiving my BRP card.
Any guidance/assistance would be appreciated.

You aren't entitled to refund as you paid for a service for a decision within a stipulated timeframe, which you clearly received. Super priority is only for a quick decision and not brp delivery.

DX courier is responsible for delivery and it would have been advisable to contact them first before reporting the card lost, which has caused an additional delay as HO has to follow due process to get the other gov department in Wales to print and send a new card.

Hi All,

Just to update, my ILR was granted on 30/12/19, received the BRP on 02/01/20. A letter was received with the ILR leaflet by the lawyer on 03/01/20.

I had no communication from the super priority application date 19/12/19. Therefore, I have not received the decision within one working day as advertised. How can I request for an refund for the super priority £800 fees from HO?

Many thanks in advance.

Set (M)

Application submitted online 30/12/19
Biometrics appointment 02/01/20 - 11am
Application granted 02/01/20 - 3pm

We have received the BRP and the letter. The BRP was posted through the letterbox, but we had to sign for the letter.

A question on the letter - all it says is ‘thank you for your application for ILR. A BRP will be sent to you’.

Forgive my ignorance, but is this the standard letter? It doesn’t say that the application was successful or anything on those lines.

S.P.Service is very strange and works differently for diff People and it isn't a Super Priority in Reality. It's a Con and fraud to milk more money from immigrants.

I have read 29+ pages and experience of 45+ people.

Some people get decision in 3/5 hours max and some don't get it for 2 to 8 days.

Some people get email notification, and some don't get an email , Weird !!

I applied for ILR on 20th of Dec, 2019 , Enrolled Biometric on 31st Dec in Manchester at 12:40

I should have got the Decision around 2nd or let's say on the 3rd of Jan, 2020 but Alas ! nothing as usual and expected ……….. Heart Pumping and racing for No reason, adrenaline rush and unnecessary stressful days and nights.

Finally, I got letter today on the 7th Jan, around 4PM stating Your BRP will be sent in 7 days. Nothing states ILR has been granted , Don't know what does that mean. But it's definitely not a Refusal Letter. However, on the online status check to work UK (my status stated my Previous visa expiry Date and now it states, There is no Limit on how long you can stay in the UK, which is I believe the definition of the ILR)

Finally, They promise you 24 hours decision , but not in exact 24 Hrs , rather , The actual limit is 5-working days. Crazy and a total rip off.
Mis-selling of service. And anybody wants to have a refund , Good luck with that …. Cos it's like stealing meat from the mouth of a Feisty Lion lol
Good luck and prayers for everyone who is waiting or going to apply.... Keep sharing your experiences, we 're all in the same boat Just diff destinations.

Hi,
It was the HO that said the next process of theirs was to report it as lost, which took 5 working days to get a response which then notified us of them not being able to find the address.
I also got in touch with the BRP delivery team.
Guess what, they were absolutely useless at giving me any information of the whereabouts of my BRP card, it is like trying to squeeze fat out of a fly, they did not have any answer or clue on the whereabouts of the card.
It took them TWO WEEKS to reply to my email, so goodness knows where it was the entire time.
As the HO stated on the letter, the BRP card should also be delivered within the time frame, so I am rightly entitled to a refund in this individual circumstance.
I would gladly appreciate any other contact apart from the complaints email and complaints review email.

Hi Aligbutt

Given that you paid £800 for the Super priority Service and they did not give you their decision within their 24 hour time frame you should definitely request a refund.
Send an email to complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk and complaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
Explain all your points with dates and attach relevant documentation you have received from the HO.
They are extremely slow and take an entire month to respond to emails!
Keep trying and hopefully you can get your money back because it is an extreme con and rip off.
My situation is slightly different as I received my decision from HO on the same day as my biometrics appointment, but my BRP card did not arrive until 32 working days after it was supposed to.
I know the super priority service states you are paying for the decision within 24 hours, but in my individual case I believe I am entitled to a refund as the HO mislead me into thinking I would receive my BRP card instead they messed me around and kept avoiding answering simple questions of where on earth the card was at the time.
All the best!
