Hi,

Here is my situation for SET(O) under Super Priority Service.

Application submitted online & Sopra Steria/Biometrics appointment is booked for 2019 Jan 12.

Couple of questions:

1) If there is a mistake in the application at this stage what can be done? Now after submission I think I made a mistake while entering the dates in the absences from the UK section, instead of putting 1-Feb-2014 I put 11-Feb-2014 as an exit date from the UK. Even though those 10 days difference is not going to hit the 180 days rule I wonder what's the best thing to do now?

2) While we await a decision (say decision not received in 24 hours to 5 days), can I travel outside the UK (say to Dubai with my passport and current valid BRP) and return after 1 week and receive the decision and new BRP if its ready?
Hi There,

1. I guess noting can be done once the application is submitted, however you can write this onto the cover letter, the important dates the caseworker determines are from passport entry/exit stamps, if you have that ticket, you can probably supply that as well.

2. As I am aware you can't leave the country once the application is being submitted.
Ok thanks.
"however you can write this onto the cover letter" - After submission is it possible to I upload a cover letter? During Biometrics appointment will they accept any additional documents to be uploaded?

Hey,

What my understanding is when you attend the appointment, they check the quality of uploaded documents (don't forget to take originals with you, whilst they didn't check mine), approve the documents and send your application. The guy at appointment asked my permission to send the application. I myself uploaded/deleted a few times (to organize better) but all before the appointment.

and Yes, at the appointment if you ask them to scan and upload something else, they will do that. Your application as I am aware can't be changed but the documents at appointment can be shuffled or updated or you can do yourself.

Hey Saimajaan,

When you you apply for ILR? which type and from where did you apply? was your case complicated?
hey hope u r well .
I applied for ilr settlement our main applicant is my mum we applied as a family of 5 and yes our case is straight forward we submitted it with a help of our lawyer and it was in Croydon appliedon the 7th of dec.
Hey,

Just guessing, maybe its worthwhile asking the sopera steria if the guy looking your documents have forwarded actually your application and biometerics to home office? My understanding is sopera steria sends some sort of confirmation to home office and after that the case worker start looking into it.

Compliments of the season!

I have been a silent follower and wanted to share my experience with the UKVCAS Super Priority Service:

There's been debates on what the 'date of application' should be. So I decided to follow @mahmoudsayed86 footstep by submitting my application before my qualifying round but my date of appointment was within. I submitted a cover letter without explaining anything about date of application. It seems ones application is not valid until supporting documents are submitted by Sopras.

Application Type: SET LR

Application Submitted: December 13, 2018.

Appointment: December 27, 8:30am at Birmingham. Paid extra £100 as it was out of hours. Documents with biometrics submitted by agent around 10:15am

Generic email received at 2:00pm same day that I should provide my biometric data or ignore if done.

ILR Approval Letter received: December 31, 2018 at about 10:00am.

Waiting for the BRP

All the best to everyone waiting and I wish you a prosperous New Year!

Dear All,
I applied online 30/11/2018 and enrolled biometrics 11/12/2018 at Manchester library. Application for Set(O).

Today I received a generic email after 3rd escalation and sending email to accessuk@homeoffice.co.uk

"We are emailing you to confirm that your recent Home Office application is still under consideration and we expect to make a decision within 6 months of the date of your application, which is our service standard. If we are unable to process your application within 6 months we will tell you as soon as possible.

Our web page contains further information about our service standards and other information that you may find helpful with regard to your application.

If there is a change in your circumstances, please contact us using this link: https://www.gov.uk/change-circumstances-visa-brp

You will be notified of the outcome of your application in writing"

I think my application was straightforward. Does anyone receive a decision after this email? or it means further delay?I am now getting worried as I have some urgent travel plans in late January. Please help if any options I can explore :| :|

@jagzmann many congratulations on your successful application. It would be more beneficial if you please give brief immigration history and from what category you applied ILR (LR) and what documents you uploaded all together.

Many thanks and congratulations again. :D

Hi I have this too today. Not sure what will be the outcome.
As mentioned in the last page, I think Sopera Steria staff notifies Home Office after the biometrics and document check is complete and then the case worker picks up your application (During Home Office working days/hours Mon-Fri) and makes a decision. So I believe the decision will be available in 24 hours (or 3 working days - 3*8 = 24 hours) after the biometrics is complete if that make sense..

https://www.gov.uk/government/organisat ... r-services

If you check this link, HO has updated the service standard for ILR saying it is (24 hour for super priority)
Also, please read below (taken from the page):

"If we can’t make a decision within the service standards
If there is a problem with your application or if it is complex, we will write to explain why it will not be decided within the normal standard. We will write within the normal processing time for the 8 week standard and within 12 weeks for the 6 month standard. The letter will explain what will happen next.

If you have applied for a super priority 24 hour or priority 10 day service we will contact you within the service standard if there is a problem with your application.

The service standard will only apply to complete applications. If the application is incomplete at the time of the appointment the caseworker will consider whether the case should be excluded from the service standard."

So, my guess is HO is in breach of their service standard for the super priority service already and perhaps raising a complaint (waiting 20 days for it) and if you don't get a decision or a response after that complaint to go to parliament ombudsman service? via. this link:

https://www.gov.uk/government/organisat ... -procedure

I raised my complaint on the 17th December so, gotta wait for some time.

Hi all...
Me too silently waiting in pain every second...it’s a sensitive issue for many like me- jobs at stake, job changes at stake, travel, family, etc etc...

My in-person submission @ Manchester Library was on Sat, 24th of Nov 2018 (I only applied for myself, thought of applying for family once I get mine)...had to go all the way fm London.

Application for ILR via 5yrs Tier 2 route- 24-hrs Super (Duper) priority service.

Did escalate it three times, to which I got three e-mails within 5 working days (but all non-case specific, rather all generic).

Last escalation was yesterday...got an e-mail stating as below yesterday itself....the person (Male) who answered the call was quite astonished that a 24-hrs super priority has had no outcome as of yet, to extend he was clarifying it many times if it was Dec 24th or Nov itself !

“Thank you for contacting UKVI Contact Centre.

We aim to complete all applications within the 24-hour service standard. However, where we are not able to do this we will complete the application as quickly as possible and where delays in making the decision are not the fault of the customer, the super priority service fee will be refunded.“

1) Is anybody here who has their Biometrics done for any application in the month of November, still waiting for an outcome (rather than generic replies) ???...pls do reply...tnx.

NB: ...can’t thank this forum enough to help me and others keep going through this phase.

I applied on the 3rd Dec (4th biometric).

My case is even worse, where I didn’t receive any emails after the escalation(s).

there are LOTS of us still from Nov/early Dec

you can see my list here:
general-uk-immigration-forum/ukvcas-sup ... l#p1721386
(that list will be ready for a 2nd revision soon :( )

We never had travel plans thankfully but this ongoing mess is really affecting us due to all our savings locked up in the savings account we are relying on for the financial part of our visa. We planned on being able to release that money in first week of December so you can imagine what an effect that's had on our Christmas/New Year :(

Now I have a big tax bill to pay, the garden fence needs replacing (and the neighbour is glowering at me and can't even get his head around how a visa application is affecting a garden fence!). We are SO tempted to use the savings but will resist, but we are now really suffering due to HO incompetence.

Going through the UKVI helpline is the most frustrating experience because you know that none of them have any power at all apart from the wondrous 'escalation' that has been so successful so far. I will be calling them for a FIFTH escalation on Thurs/Fri.

I've revised my list from ten days ago. I know it's not perfect, there's a mix of different routes here and some people won't have come back to update

the conclusion which everyone can see clearly is that the 2nd half of November was a total mess. There were basically NO quick decisions until well into December but there are quite a few very fast ones now. So they're not going through them in any logical order - it's like the late-November ones are sitting in a box in a dark room somewhere!

the best day for your premium appointment was.....Christmas Eve!! Go figure....

My understanding is if delay in decision comes under this.... "If there is a problem with your application or if it is complex, we will write to explain why it will not be decided within the normal standard" then there is nothing received in writing from HO.

If delay is due to some other reason then super priority fee should have been refunded.

@jagzmann many congratulations on your successful application. It would be more beneficial if you please give brief immigration history and from what category you applied ILR (LR) and what documents you uploaded all together.

Many thanks and congratulations again. :D

My understanding is sopera steria sends some sort of confirmation to home office and after that the case worker start looking into it.
hey thanks for that after reading ur comment I actually contacted my lawyer he emiled them and yesterday so hopefully they will do a replie and u could be right that's what I thought all the time thaks anyways

Guys don't hold your breath in an e mail... unless maybe they want more info. Although my decision was very quick I did not recieve the e mail but the letter.
I await the 7 working days now for my actual BRP.
Will only sleep proper when I've got it in my hand.

Hey guys
Have any of you booked an Appointment at Stevenage centre for Biometrics? Would like to know the experience. I would be applying for ILR, Tier 2 General route, next week., would like to know your experience. The nearest enhanced Srvice centre for me is Stevenage, then Hemel Hampstead, & then Croydon., not sure which one to opt for if i have the option.

Finally I would like to thank the moderators and the forum as a whole. It is very informative and can be a comfort as well, as many of us are in the same boat... no pun intended as we are migrants.
I am glad I came across this and no doubt I will be popping in regularly to find out things and definitely in a year's time when I apply for my Citezenship.
Thanks once again to everyone who contributes to this forum. Cheers
.

hi,
I am also waiting for decision, really frustrating holiday period, my timeline below

Application for ILR from Tier 2 general, super priority service, paid £3018.20

Submission Date 19/12/2018
Acknowledgement email received 20/12/2018
Biometrics 23/12/2018, Croydon,12PM

waiting for decision...........checking emails (like idiots) every 10 mins...

PS : I can still see/change all my documents on Sopra Steria account, nothing is frozen even though its more than a week since sopra submitted my application....is this is same with you guys too ?
Hi Manish,

I hope you have recieved your ILR by now.
I will also be applying for ILR from Tier 2 General route next week, so wanted some guidance in that.
My 28 days window starts from 12th Jan, so i will be submitting the form SET(O) on 12th Jan.
How soon did you get the email confirmation of application submission? Does it take time? Can wee take an appointment before recieving the email confirmation of application? Also, we have to upload the documents only after taking appointment, is that right?
Do they give a mandatory list of documents needed?
Can you send me the documents that you have uploaded?
Have you uploaded your entire passport(s) or only the name & address pages?
How was your experience at the Croydon centre? I am unsure of which centre to take an appointment, Croydon is the nearest Core Service centre for me, however, i also have options of 2 enhanced service centres; Stevenage & Hemel Hamsptead, so i am not sure which one should i opt for.
Was it easy in getting an appointment?

Any other info would be much appreciated!

Thank you

Hi,

I am applying for ILR with a dependant spouse, but I am unable to access the Super Property Service option before the Pay section on the online form. The only available option seems to be "Standard Service". Is the 24 hours service still available?

your response will be appreciated.
