Hi. I did receive my passport with the visa.

Actually, a funny story. I received my issued email on 21st May but did not get any call. Being a little impatient, I went to VFS Lahore on 24th, and told them I am here to collect my passport. They asked me if I have received a call, and I lied "Yes". And they gave me my passport.

Not sure if it will work for everyone or is advisable, but if you are impatient like me, worth a try.

Hey. I had almost the same timeline as you. Got the not straightforward email on 9th May, then the issued email on 20th May but no passport collection text/call. Can you please tell me if you received any email/text after the decision made email notifying you that your passport has reached Gerry’s? Or you went just like that? Because i’m Thinking of doing the same since I have to travel next Friday.

Guys I have received an email from UK emabasy with comments, "Your visa application has been issued" on 14th May and now waiting for VFS call/sms for passport collection. I am located in Riyadh Saudia Arabia. Still nothing from VFS. Any information how much time they take to respond. Can someone from Riyadh share his/her experience in this regard.

I just went like that on 24th Friday.

Then on Saturday 25th, I got an email from VFS that your passport is available for collection. I think there outgoing email servers are not that reliable.

Since you have been waiting since 20th, I suggest its worth a try, especially with Eid Holidays coming up. Remember, they will ask you if you received a call, just say you did. Otherwise they refuse to even look!

Hi, i just recieved the “concluded” visa email. Obviously it’s rejected. My question is that as I didn’t purchase courier service on vfs global because of unawareness, so how may i get my passport back from visa center? As im living in Quetta and visa center is in Karachi. During these eid holidays I probably can’t travel to Karachi. Kindly if someone can give me advice?

On May 29th I received a different worded email to what I've been reading in this thread. It specifically says "Your UK visa application has been dispatched from the UK Visa Section." from "UK Visa Section - Croydon".

It's been 11 days since I received the email but VFS still hasn't communicated that my passport is ready for collection (I assume its because of the Eid holidays). I would like to assume they can't dispatch a refusal so I'm hopeful its approved. But incase anyone else has received the same, please may you let me know the outcome?

Confirming the trend , Issued email means visa in passport
We had three applications for mom dad daughter
6 month visitor visa
Mom dad already had previous 6 month visa which was about to expire
Applied for all three and all got visa within one month.

I have applied 5 days ago no email so far my travel history includes 5-6 countaries dubai,china,malaysia,singapore and azerbaijan.The account is salaried and properly maintained from 15 years and all the documents are intact.What are the chances!

Confirming the trend. “Concluded “ means refusal. I got concluded email on 2 nd June, got passport today on 10 june ( didn’t even receive collection email or call or sms from vfs ). Passport is returned with a Refusal letter. But I don’t understand the reason of refusal, there are two pages, on one page of letter is written “reasons are given on next page”, on next page only one line is written “Next steps NRA v 1.0”, and that i have no right for apeal. Can anyone explain to me what does it mean?

Got concluded email and obviously visa application got refused on baseless reasons.... there were many assumptions n baseless reasons so we complained about that.. and then after long wait we got a reply from HO and they admitted their fault and apologised for unprofessional behaviour of ECO and then they said we r reconsidering your application and it 'll be considered as a new application. We received email on 20th May and still waitin for reply... they said British embassy Abu Dhabi 'll contact us shortly about the outcome but didn't get any reply from anywhere.... can any1 tell how long it'll probably gonna take to get the outcome ????? And any idea that what 'll be the outcome of that...??

Hi! Would you believe VFS still hasn't contacted me yet to collect my passport?? I was going to do a walk-in tomorrow and try my luck at picking up my passport as tomorrow will be 7 working days (and 14 actual days if we don't include the holidays and weekend) since that dispatched email. I will let you know tomorrow.

One tip which I found useful for myself is that if u don’t get “passport collection email”, after 4-5 working days of your “concluded/issued” email, do go and walk in to your vfs/ visa collection center and tell them you came to collect ur passport, if they asked you about collection email or sms, tell them u recieved it( even if u haven’t). It worked for me because i waited 5 working & 4 holidays but didn’t get any message. Best of luck.

Thanks for answering, i was going to attend a medical (gynae) conference in London starting from 16 June, si I submitted the invitation letter from the conference, my 6 months salary slips, NOC from my employees for attending the conference, and also to stay on safe side a sponsorship letter and property documents from my brother in law who is a UK citizen. One big blunder i did was that neither I submitted my bank statements (as I don’t keep much cash in my account), and also mistakenly I pointed out in my application that “No one is going to pay for my trip”, so they asked me in Refusal letter that they fail to understand how am I going to support myself during my trip. My question is that can i reapply with a covering letter to show that my brother in law will completely support me financially for these 10 days that i visit London?
