I’ve been waiting since 20th Aug for passport return from Abu Dhabi, is there a contact email for them?! Not sure how long is normal to wait for a passport return.

Applied for my mother in law, first time Visitor visa for UK

Application submitted in Tehran VFS on 12th Aug
Issued email received from Abu dhabi, 20th Aug

Waiting for passport

I confirm again, issued email = visa issued

We received the passport after 3 weeks, visa was issued on the date we received the email 20th August.

Any one who can give a suggestion regarding visit visa for UK now a days. I mean if this is a good time to apply for visit visa for UK from Pakistan or not? asking in context of pandemic etc. And whats the visa issuance probability now a days.

I think apart from essential travel to UK , u should wait till situation getting better in UK as here in UK Covid 19 cases rapidly increasing at the rate of more than 4000 cases per day. So, it is better to stay ur country till situation getting better. As for as visa issuance probability is concerned then if you are financially sound to sponsor ur visit and provide them requesting documents then probability is good. Mostly visas are getting refused on financial reasons.

Has anyone recently submitted passport/application from VFS Lahore (Pakistan)? In response to my parents' PAP, we have been asked to submit passports so trying to get a sense of recent (Covid-impacted) turnaround time.

Visa application Issued email received on 30/09/20.
Collected passport on 07/10/20, visitor visa granted! Visa start date is 30/09/20.

Due to personal reason we wont be able to travel immediately, will there be any issues if we travel at a later date?
The visit will only be a few months and will return before visa expires.

Hi there, please note once a decision is made by UK Visas and Immigration, it can take several days for your passport to be returned to the Visa Application Centre. Once passports are returned to VFS Global they will go through our safety and security processes, after which we will contact customers to let you know they are ready for collection, or they will be returned to you by courier if applicable. If you have paid for the SMS service, you will recieve a text as well as an email.
