What is Home Office Reference No?

in question 2.11 of Form Set(0) its ask for HomeOffice Reference No. I am wondering whether this is the one which stamp on my visa or the one which is on work permit letter.

It's probably one on the letter. If you have a letter that says at the top "Our Reference" the number following is it. In my case, the number on my ILR starts S8.... which is completely different from any number in my passport.
