Getting a job after a career break. Please Help

Hi,
I am an IT professional with 4 years of experience. I have a MCA (Master of Computer Applications) degree from India. I took a break from my career since the last 3 years for looking after my child. Now I want to look for a job in UK as I will be going there soon on dependent work permit with my husband. From my recent past experience, I found it difficult to get even interview calls except for consultant screening calls. This could be because of the career break or dependent visa status. Is there any way or any course I can do from India or UK so that I can restart my career when I go there?
Please advise/help.
