Getting started--lots of questions!

Post by Papillon » Mon Feb 02, 2015 2:46 am

I am a UKC, and my wife is a USC. We are currently living in America with our 2 children (both dual). We are looking to move to the UK in the summer, and we're starting the process of applying for a visa for my wife. Before we get too far into the process, we wanted to ask a few very basic questions.

We've started the "settlement" application online--is that even the right one?

We're confused by the "sponsor" section. The financial route we're taking is that we have the money in the bank that we need to show that we are financially independent for 33 months. This money belongs to both of us, so we don't think I would be the sponsor (and in the sponsor section, "husband" and "wife" are not even options).

I'm sure we'll have more questions, but we would be so grateful for answers to these. Thank you so much,

Justin
