Getting a temporary work permit in Paris

I am a non-EU national Software Engineer who doesn't require a visa to visit France for 90 days.
Now I am residing in another EU country legally with a proper work permit.
I found a job in Paris, and need to start working as soon as possible.
The employer will apply for a temporary permit, along with long stay work permit at the same time, so that I can work as soon as possible with temporary permit.
Knowing that I have a proper work permit in another EU country (Luxembourg), how easy is it, and how long does it take to get the temporary work permit?
