Girlfriend in Portugal wants to come and live with me in the UK

Hi there,

My girlfriend of 6 months and I have both decided that we can't be apart anymore and it is so expensive to visit each other every month.

I have children from a previous marriage, which I co-parent so moving to Portugal is not an option until they are older.

She has no children and is a freelance translator, currently doing work for a Portuguese TV company so can basically do her work from anywhere. So it seems logical that she comes to live with me.

What do i need to do to make this possible and what will we need to do in the future with Brexit almost upon us ?

Also, are there any good sites for her to search for translation jobs in this country ?

Is she a Portuguese citizen with a Portuguese passport??

She can simply come over to the UK, currently under EU regulations up to 29th March.
Best to familiarise yourselves with the settled status scheme which is the system that will replace Residence documenmtation under EU regulation, after 29 March. Public beta for Settled Status is open now so best she applies soon after arrival.
