I am going to extend the GTV with my new job

Post by chuccr » Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:05 pm

Hello

I have been in GTV for a year, endorsed funder on the list approved by UKRI. My organisation was a University in UK, the grant which has been supporting me that made me reach the criteria for this visa will cover until 2024, regarding the detail in grant document (when I first applied). Also, my GTV will be valid until September 2024.

Now, I got a new job in the same field of experience in another University in UK. This position is under the same grant as my previous job.

I would like to extend my GTV for another 2 years, I am not sure if I could use my previous endorsement or do I need to reapply the endorsement since I changed the organisation and the grant.

Moreover, do I need a confirmation of employment letter from my new institute to apply the visa?

Any advice would be appreciated.

You don't need a new endorsement to extend a GTV.

The requirements to apply for an extension:
You can usually apply to extend your stay in the UK if either:
  • you applied for the Global Talent visa based on an endorsement, and the organisation that endorsed you has not withdrawn its approval
You must be able to show that you earned money in your expert field during your time in the UK by sending evidence toward your application, for example payslips.
