Going out of the country being close to apply ILR?

Post by Aslam2010 » Sun Jun 12, 2011 9:17 pm

Hi,

Please help me if you can.

I came to UK for an IT Job with Work permit (ICT) in Sep 2006 for the 1st 2 years. Also got extended twice in Work permit (ICT) in Sep 2008 and Sep 2010. I am having a T2(ICT) until 2012 extended from Workpermit ICT.

I also checked with Home office helpline whether i am eligible to apply for ILR in Aug 2011. It was advised that i am eligible to apply in August.

I am working for the same employer since 2006 until now. Seems like my project is getting over by June 2011. I can't find any projects under the same employer after that. They are planning to send me back to my won country. Is there any way to extend my stay to complete my ILR eligibility to apply in august through any temporary Visa if i am ready to resign my Job or my employer cancel the workpermit? I heard that i can give HMRC letter to show my past history of 5 years, as the Employment letter is not mandatory if i am not able to give?

I can't go out and come back in new T2 as it is not eligible for ILR anymore.

Need your valuable advice.

Thanks in advance.
