Got EC - Time limit to enter UK

Hi,

I have got EC, and I am planning to go in January. Is there any restriction that I should be land in UK within certain time? A friend was saying it is 6 months?

Will there be any other problems if I leave later in January?

Hi Shahid,

Congrats for your EC, its all good news... there is no time frame in which you need to travel as far as Tier1 is concerned... it solely depends on you... and even if you are out of UK at a later stage you could return back as long as ur visa is valid... this could only delay your ILR going forward i.e. instead of 1 extension you might need to go for 2nd extention to meet the 5 year stay requirement in UK.

Thanks for detailed answer. One more thing, I think this would not make any difference that I got EC based on my HSMP approval letter (which was issued before this new combined process) ?
