I GOT IT TODAY AFTERBEING AN OVERSTAYER FOR 6 YRS

Post by SMOOTH OPERATOR » Wed Jul 04, 2007 5:31 pm

HI EVERYBODY
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF U WHO GAVE THE CONFIDENCE TO GO BACK TO MY HOME COUNTRY TO APPLY FOR A SPOUSE VISA AS AN OVERSTAYER. IM SORRY IF I CANNOT THANK U ALL ENOUGH, ITS BCOS IM SO HAPPY AND LOST OF WORDS. GREAT THANKS TO JOHN AND SLIM AND EVERYBODY ELSE.

THIS IS THE STORY:
ARRIVED IN NIGERIA ON MAY 11
GOT MY PASSPORT MAY 22 DUE TO THE A DELAY IN BEING ISSUED WITH A PASSPORT AS THEY RAN OUT OF PASSPORT BOOKLETS AND HAD TO LEAVE LAGOS STATE TO GO TO OGUN STATE TO GET IT DONE AND FORGET ABOUT THE MONEY I HAD PAID, WHICH I GOT THE SAME DAY.

PUT MY APPLICATION IN ON THE 25TH OF MAY BUT WAS SUPPOSED TO BR GIVEN AN INTERVIEW DATE FOR 77TH OF JULY, AS A RESULT OF THE STUPIDITY OF THE THE VFS OFFICE THEY DID NOT CONTACT ME. THEY GAVE ME AN EXCUSE ON THE 15TH OF JUNE THAT THEY CALLED ME AND COULD NOT GET THROUGH AND THEY DO NOT HAVE A POLICY IN PLACE TO RING BACK OF SEND AND EMAIL. EVEN THOUGH I CALL THE OFFICE EVERY DAY TO GET UPDATE OF MY APPLICATION.

I GOT A NEW INTERVIEW DATE FOR 4TH OF JULY.

ARRIVED AT THE EMBASSY FOR MY INTERVIEW AT 5.30 AM, ALLOWED INTO THE BUILDING AT 7.30 AND WAS THE FIST APPLICANT TO ARRIVE. BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND MY FILE AND WAS TOLD TO SIT AWAY FROM OTHERS. TO CUT THE LONG STORY SHORT THEY FOUND THE FILE AND TOLD ME I HAD TO GO BACK TO THE BACK OF THE QUEUE, WHICH SENT ME BUNKERS. I WAS THE LAST TO BE SEEN TO AT 2.00PM AND FINISHED WITH AT 3.00 PM AND WAS TOLD TO COME PIK IT UP 10.00AM 2MORO

QUESTIONS WERE ABOUT WHY I OVERSTYAED AND THE ECO WANTED ME TO ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DELIBREATLY OVERSTAYING, WHICH I DID. HE ASKED ME QUESTIONS ABOUT MY WIFE, HER FAMILY, HER JOB, AND SO ON AND LATER SAID HE IS ISSUING ME A VISA ON THE CONDITION THAT I DO NOT BREAK THE IMMIGRATION RULES AGAIN
AND COME 2MORO AND PICK IT UP.

THATS ALL FOLKS

IM SO TIRED AND DID NOT SLEEP LAST NITE AND WILL BE IN UK NEXT WEEKEND.

IM LEAVING U ALL NOW TO GO PICK UP MY TICKET AND GET WASTED IN A BIT, AND PUT SOME WEIGHT ON AS I HAVE LOST A LOT OF BY BEING STRESSED AND WORRIED

ONCE AGAIN THANK U ALL

Congratulations Smooth Operator! Yet another example that leaving the UK and making the application overseas can work!

Now you and your spouse can get on with your lives! Have a safe journey back to the UK.

[But a little moan! On the internet use of block capitals is equivalent to shouting! On this board postings in block capitals are liable to be deleted without warning!]

Hey Smooth Operator
Any chance of you editing your original posts into lower case?

So you did the FingerPrints on the same day and were also given a date for the interview straightaway

Did they look at your application before they gave you an interview date??

Smooth Operator talks of a spouse visa, and in a previous post of his he states that he is married to a British Citizen. Accordingly he would have used the VAF2 application form to apply for his 2-year spouse visa.
