Graduate Accountant For Tier 2.*Urgent.DesperatelyNeedHelp.

Thank you so much for helping me. I desperately need your helps.

Let me make it short. I really need some firm opinion on this as soon as possible:

Questions straight away:

1. Can the accounting firm use the job title 'No. 2421 Chartered and certified accountants' to sponsor my Tier 2 Visa even if I am not a qualified accountant yet?

2. What NQF job title do the Big 4 use when they hire their graduates who have not professional accounting qualifications?

Descriptive Situation:
1. I am a new graduate and have been offered a place by an accounting company in London. They have Tier 2 sponsorship quota and want to sponsor me, but it is their first time sponsoring a graduate like me; they have just one unsure point to address.

2. I do not have a professional accounting qualification, but will study towards it (CIMA).

3. The employer thought that the best NQF Level 6 'Job Title' for Tier 2 Visa is No. 2421 Chartered and certified accountants.

4. However when they looked into the 'Related Job Titles', it shows:
Accountant (qualified); Auditor (qualified); Chartered accountant; Company accountant; Cost accountant (qualified);Financial controller (qualified) ;Management accountant (qualified)

(Observation: they are all followed by a 'qualified')

5. They are unsure whether they can apply for the Tier 2 Visa for me under this job title, as I am not 'qualified' yet.

What are you? you can only be sponsored for a job you can do, so long as you have the required qualifications and you meet salary and other requirements you should be ok.

I am just a recent graduate with no qualification yet, but I am studying towards it; and I will perform the jobs required by NQF Level 6 in the company.

A quote from the government:
24.7 Apart from the exceptions listed below, migrants sponsored under Tier 2 (General) and Tier 2 (ICT) can only work in a skilled occupation at or above National Qualifications Framework (NQF) level 6 (or the equivalent in Scotland). This does not mean that the person employed to fill the job must be educated to that level, it means that the work that person will do is pitched at that level.

So I am thinking (and also the employer is wondering) that I should be able to use this job title, but I do not want to risk on this.

Moreover, what job titles do the Big 4 Company use when they sponsor their graduates? They normally do not have any qualifications when they are hired.

I am currently in the same situation; I do have 4 years of experience in accounting but I'm still not yet certified. Did you apply under this position even though you weren't certified? Did it go through?
