Graduate visa to Skilled worker visa enquiry (New entrant status)

I've been employed by my company since November 2023, and have been on the post graduate visa since then, expiring on November 2025


I've been having discussions with them recently about extending my visa and they'd be willing to do it around April/May

I just had a question about the new entrant rule. UKVI states that I can be eligible as a new entrant for 4 years, and around April/May i will have been on my post grad visa for around a year and a half.

If my employer gives me a CoS, and its validity is till November 2027, would I be applicable for a 3 year visa or would a 2 year visa be my only option? Since I would still have around 2.5 years left on the new entrant status. And I'd rather wait until August to switch visas if im only eligible for 2 years
