Grandparent details in passport form?

Me and my partner are born before 1982 but our parents are born abroad/non-british.

So, do we both have to provide our grandparents details?

Yes. I faced the same dilemma. I attached a seperate piece of paper with the info. Some fields I did not know, so I wrote "Uknown". Application went through as I have my interview on Friday.
