Is Ex Gratia Pay Considered for Tier1 extension?

Hi All,

I have been made redundant from my company and I will be paid some compensation amount as a "ex gratia" in Payslip without Tax/NI. My question is, can I include this payslip amount to claim the earning points under Tier 1 visa rules for extension?

Redundancy pay is not considered as earnings. This will not be counted towards your income

Hi, Thanks for the reply.

I was paid as "Ex Gratia" compensation in the payslip because I was not eligible for redundancy as my employment less than 2 yeas.

It would be helpful if anyone can point me for any UK BA links to say that Ex Gratia is not included in the earning to score the points for Tier 1(general) visa.
