Green Card Application - Marital Status

Hi Experts,

I'm a British National fighting my divorce case in India and currently working and living in the US. My employer is asking me to apply for GC in the US. I would like to understand what Marital Status I will have to provide in my Application for GC and can I update the Marital Status later on during the GC process if it changes?
