US Greencard

Post by qwerty07 » Sun Nov 04, 2007 7:17 pm

folks,

does any one know what happens if you have a green card and go through the visitor channel?

a friend of mine forgot his and went through the visitor channel. He was given 90 days visas. He came back to UK within 2 weeks - but is concerned that his green card has been automatically deleted.

does any one know?

This is a very serious issue, and I doubt anyone here would know the answer. I recommend posting on the following (free) forum. A US immigration attorney is a regular contributor there. Good luck.

Very bad move! Your friend had to apply for a Transportation Letter from the US embassy in order to re-enter the US as a permanent resident.
