My application dates are in the signature but I applied with my son, wife couldn't apply because she had to go abroad (our initial visa is valid till 25/05/10).
now my caseworker emailed me last Thursday (18/03/09) asking me to get my wife to submit a letter saying that she has no objection for my son to apply for the dependant visa (because of child protection act)
Sent the letter last Friday and they got it last Monday also emailed caseworker asking if he can let me know when he receives the letter and how long it's gonna take to make a decision.
Caseworker emailed today saying, "Thank you for your e-mail. I can confirm that we have received your wife's letter and have therefore been able to process your (and your son's) application. You should receive a decision on your application shortly."
now i have a couple of questions and you can guess the answer
1) I would think caseworker dealt with my application first and took the decision in my favor and Only after that he needed to process my son's application hence the request for the letter. What do you say?
2) A few people (who applied at the same time as me) had their dependant form returned as they were told to use the new form v03/10?
So if the caseworker asked for the letter that means he has accepted my v10/09 form?
3) What do yo make of the email snippet above? Has the decision been taken on both my and my son's application?
wish me luck
