My child would turn 18 in 3 Mar 2025. New university session starts on 15 Sept 2025.
I believe my child is eligible for Home Fees for the university under LONG RESIDENCE category where-in:
if child is over 18 and have spent at least half the life in UK, child is eligible for Home Fees.
under LONG RESIDENCE

Timeline -
Entered first time in UK - 04-May- 2016
Left UK - 19 June - 2016
Re-entered UK - 19 Nov- 2016 (after 5 months)
and has been in UK since 19-nov-2016.
Days since birth to first entry in UK = 3351 days
Days since first entry in UK(4-May-2016) until first day of course(15 Sep 2025) = 3421 days
Days since birth until first day of course = 6771 days
Half of 6771 days is approx 3385 days
Daus being in UK - 3421 days which is more than half of life.
Based on this calculation i believe the child can qualify for Home fees.
Need your feedback and inputs whether am I correct on this.
Offer from university currently has come as International student and need to claim for Home fees with above argument..
