Has the new 10-year rule been implemented?

Post by milimolo » Mon May 11, 2026 12:53 pm

Hi all, and admins

Has the new 10-year ILR rule for dependants been implemented? or not yet?

I already have ILR, and my family are completing their 5-year residency soon. I have an 11-yo son, and wife.

Thank you.

No such changes have been announced or implemented. The 5-year requirement under the rules remains unchanged.
Also children do not have a residence requirement and will settle when both parents do.
