help:another ilr/spouse query

Dear all,
I applied for HSMP in late April 2006 and then was moved to Tier 1 in 2008. I am eligible for ILR from May 2011. Also I am married since July 2009. My concerns/questions are -
1. How early do I need to seek a personal appointment to get a date, 28 days before end of 5 years in May 2011? Hope I am not late to get an appointment in early April.
2. Is my wife eligible for ILR along with me(married less than 2 years but I applied in late April 2006)
3. Do we need a life in UK test?
