help confused

i got 2 years visa for unmarried partner in sep 2006
the visa simply simply says: visa to join partner
now i appplied to home office for approval to get married(c. partnership) we got approved and now we married (civil partnership).
should i change my visa or keep the same i bit confused here can you please help.

You can continue on the same visa and at the end of the visa,i.e- in Aug 2008, you can use the Civil Partnership Certificate to apply for the ILR as the Civil Partner of a person present and settled in the UK rather than as an unmarried partner of the same person. No need at all to do anything to alter your current visa status.
