HELP! Dependent of tier 4 student

Okay, so my wife and I are both US citizens. She is currently living and studying in the UK on a tier 4 visa, in a program lasting longer than six months. I've been doing a lot of research, but can't find a definitive answer. Can I apply for a dependent visa to live in the UK with her and work? Please please help me.
