Post by 23062006 » Mon Jan 16, 2012 11:01 am

My daughter born in UK in April 2009.

We(My husband, wife and daughter)got our ILR in 2011 & now we are applying naturalisation in feb 2012.

Which Section do I need to fill in MN1 for my daughter's application. what are the documents needs to be submitted?

Many thanks for all your help and support.

As your daughter was born in the UK, you are applying under section 1(3) which is entitlement to register as a BC. You could have skipped the ILR application for your daughter if there were no plans for her to travel for a few months.

Answering your questions:

MN1 form sections.

Documents required.

As you have mentioned that we need to fill the section:2 for my child who was born in the UK. but the guidance says the below, can you please confirm that do we need to fill the section 2 or not?
SECTION 2: RESIDENCE
Please provide details of the child’s residence in the UK or the British overseas territories
(see page 8).
2.1 For an application in respect of a child who was born abroad and who is now living
in the UK or a British overseas territory, please say when they first arrived.

Strictly speaking, you don't need to fill in section 2 as there are no residential requirements when applying under section 1(3) but I would just write the date of birth and place of birth in 2.1.
