Help plz-minor to overstayer

Hi everyone, I've only found this site yesterday.

I'm hoping that people here can supply me with some help, as Im on the edge of desperation.

I've read some posts on overstayers but none relates to me closely.

My story is-I came here nearly 10 years ago from Jamaica on a visitors visa, I was a minor (14) at the time. A relative was my gaurdian at the time but refused to do anything about my visa. Years later Im paying for that.

I've been with my bf for 4 years and been engaged for 18 months. the relationship is shaky at best because Im constantly depressed and the strain of everything is too much for both of us. I have no criminal records (apart from this).

Im thinking of going back next year but having read a few posts, it seems that I will not be able to return. Im hesitant to go at the moment because I dont have enough saved and Im not working, so I'd be struggling to get a job on what little resource I have.

Once there, if I can afford it I will go to university.

My questions are;

Will I be able to return on the highly skilled migrant programme (with a degree)?

How long before I'd be able to apply to return?

Does coming here as a minor have any bearing on any future case?

I'm not entirely sure from reading your post...where are you currently? Did you leave the UK?

Yes Im in the UK at the moment.
