help plzzzzzzzzzzz

Post by fakhim » Fri Nov 05, 2010 12:20 pm

i m trying first time for the 6 month visit visa of my parents next month so if granted it would be valid till june...i want to know that if they come to uk in may so can they stay 6 months here(stay could be upto 6 months in a year) becoz their visa would only be valid till june...so can they extend their visa here???
If not can you suggest me that can i apply for premium visit visa for my parents becoz i heared that they dont give you premium visa unless you have previously visited uk is it the case???

Even on long term (multiple year) visit visa, one can stay a maximum of 6 months (in 12).

i want them to stay only 6 months but the problem is that i want them to stay from april 2011 to sep 2011 but i want to apply in dec 2010 so should i go with long term visa eventhough its the first time they will be coming to uk...i know there is no requirement that i should apply for 6 months visa prior to long term visa but i heared that it makes the case weak is it so?

It is not likely that your parents will be issued a long term visit visa, given that they are applying for a UK visa for the very first time.

Can I apply for a long-term visa?
