Help regarding Judicial Review cases - PLEASE !!

Post by Alpacino_13 » Tue Jul 04, 2006 7:42 pm

Hello all, I wonder if anyone can help? I have been in the UK for 12 years now with my family (mum & brother) whom are now both british citizens. I came with a student visa however I have overstayed. Since I came over here, I have studied and worked. I am still FT employed paying taxes, have a mortgage with my mother, we are both dependant on each other, never claimed any benefits or had any source to public funds. I have applied for ILR in 2004 but was unsuccessful because my solicitor hasnt supplied them with any reasons to why I should stay here. They have allowed me to appeal against the decision to the AIT. Again, unfortunatly, the judge has dissmissed the appeal. I have applied for JR & fortunalty, I was granted leave to appeal and the judge has issued an order for reconsideration to the AIT. Now, the order was issued about 3 months ago and my representatives knew nothing about it, He has now written to the AIT to find out what steps would they be taking but still no reply !! All I want to know is, What happens after an order for reconsideration has been issued and how long does it normally take to get a response ? Or what do they do in cases like mine ? Your help is much appreciated. Regards.
