Dear All,
I would apprectiate any inputs from this forum following my HSMP being rejected. I am planning for a review as I beleive a decision was rushed into..
I applied for my HSMP and claimed 85 points with 40 points for earnings. I was awarded points for all other section but scored 0 for earnings. I applied under the self employed category supplying the following information..
-personal tax card for period claimed
-bank statements
-management accounts for period
-payment confirmations issued to me by company (replaces invoices)
To corroborate earnings, I have also included the following
-Company bank statements
-Letter from accountant...
They have scored my earnings as zero under this category for the following reasons...
1.No income tax covering the period claimed provided.. I provided the CW with a print out of my tax clearance and my original tax card as Nigeria uses an electronic tax clearance system.. CW says I did not provide they with my log in details to view tax record!.. My assumption is they should have access to this or forward this to the BHC in Lagos who have systems to verify this
2.You have not supplied a personal tax return.. whats the difference between an income tax & personal tax?, this is one and the same..
3.You have not supplied audited accounts & company tax clearance, OR maagement accounts & business bank statements & business tax return, OR copies of contracts & invoices showing amounts paid...
I provided management accounts for the period and CW says this has not been provided, I have also included contracts of emploment and payment confirmations which meets the 3rd option available..
4.Bank statements do not corroborate payment confirmations... The guidance clearly states if evidence provided do not corroborate each other one can supply additional information and I submitted
-Buisness bank statements
-Letter from accountant
The above was not considered
Please help with any comments as I think a review is best option..
