Hello Everyone,
First let me thank you in advance, I've been a lurker for awhile reading but just created an account. Now I am by no means thick as I am a Nurse, but my gosh the Spouse Visa application has even me confused. Therefore, I have a couple of questions that I need assistance with. My Husband is applying for a spouse visa outside of the UK.
Firstly under the current partner details, I have listed my name, date of birth, nationally and then it asks if they currently live with you, of course we have answered no and then it asks why do you not live with your partner?
Is it permissible to simply state that we don't live together because at the minute we are in two different countries, but that if the Visa is accepted then we will be living together in the United Kingdom and that upon my visits to the Philippines we have always stayed together for the whole visit either in hotels or with his family.
Secondly it asks for sponsor details and relationship to sponsor etc, which I have completed but then in the Relationship Details it come up
Other marriages or civil partnerships
Are you currently married or in a civil partnership with another person?
well of course, we are married to which I have provided details under the sponsor details already so my main question is, is they section actually yes because if I click yes it says
Name of other/former partner
Country of nationality of other/former partner
Date of marriage/civil partnership
Place of marriage/civil partnership
and Date of divorce (if applicable)
Now, they have the date of marriage etc already under the current sponsor details so do they really want all this again?
And finally under the travel history it asks if you have ever been refused a visa, we have answered yes, because we applied for a visitor visa from him to come to the UK to meet my parents but it we denied because they didn't think he showed sufficient ties to the Philippines and that he would stay in the UK, will this cause any issues to the spouse visa ?
Again, thank you for any assistance/advice.
