Help with Visa question

Post by mishfitt » Mon Feb 10, 2014 9:20 am

Apologies if this is in the wrong spot.

I am currently on a Flr(m) visa which expires in August 2015.

My husband and I wish to move to Spain to live.

I guess i would like to know if we move to Spain would this null and void my visa?

any suggestions or advice on where i can go to get more detailed answer would be great.

Thanks

M

If you hold ILR you can be absent for up to 2 years. If you live outside of the UK your re-entry on a FLR(M) visa is likely to be queried by the Immigration officer. In any event, you wouldn't qualify for ILR when your current visa expires as you'll have failed to complete 2 years residence in the UK.

Thanks for your reply. I've been in UK since end 2010 on youth mobility then got married in 2012 would that make a difference if I stayed until later this year after my anniversary?

Thanks

It would be wise to stay until you've been granted ILR
