Home office asked for new CoS

Post by hkaur23 » Wed Dec 13, 2023 7:40 pm

Timeline - applied on 25 sep

Student visa to skilled work visa route

Received email from home office - 12 Oct

Asked for additional information from the sponsor (it was about salary). My employer confirmed they amended it in the sponsor note.

I entered in the 9th week. Spoke to my employer, no further information. spoke to employer again in 10th week. They said they further amended my salary in the sponsor notes.

12th week - yesterday received email from the home office “ To move forward with your application, we require a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) to support this application. The CoS reference which you have stated on your visa application form cannot be verified.

I kindly ask if you could provide the details on your new CoS within the next 10 working days to proceed with your new application.”

Now this email I can’t understand nor my employer. My employer already used all cos they been allocated. What to do this case? What are they exactly asking for? Can anyone please explain if you got the expertise please.

The COS reference that you have used on your application is not valid. Hence they have asked for you in around about way to either check to see if you have misquoted the reference or your employer has. In the alternative give them a new COS reference so they can progress the application.

If your Sponsor does not have any further COS then that will be an issue that will be unlikely to be resolved in the 10 day period.
