Home Office Keep Postponing Deportation Hearing

Post by emiline » Fri Sep 01, 2006 2:07 pm

My husband has been in detention for some time waiting for his deportation hearing.

He tried for bail but his sureties were weak and he doesn't have others. He can try again but he has no chance.

He has a good chance of being released when the hearing takes place but he Home Office have delayed it twice and he cannot take it much longer.

I am told that the Home Office delays will help his pleas for bail but as he doesn't have sureties anyway this is no consilation.

Basically, he is stuck in detention until they decide to have the hearing. Can they get away with this?? Is there no way of speeding things up??
