Home office Letter: Naturalisation

Post by apk123 » Tue Jan 13, 2015 6:20 pm

Hi Guys, I had applied for Naturalisation during December. I have now received a letter from the council asking me to attend citizenship ceremony on the 24th of January. Unfortunately, I have not received the Home Office Invitation letter which they have asked me to bring along for the ceremony. Is this normal? Is there a number at UKBA that I can call to see if the invitation letter can be posted before the date of ceremony? Would appreciate any response.

If you search the forum you will see that it happened to quite quite a number of people.

Ok so today was my citizenship ceremony and I still haven't received my Home office approval letter. however I've phoned up my council yesterday to let them know about my situation and they advised to turn up at the ceremony with proof of identity. I did so this morning and I got my citizenship certificate.
I am sometimes wrong.
