hotel bookings

Hi,

Iam looking for hotels which will not charge any fee if cancelled before one month. I tried but some of the cancellation policies are not clear.

Can some one give the website and hotel names which wont charge any fee.

Also I have gone thru one hotel. Please find the cancellation policy. Does that mean thay dont charge any fee if cancelled 3 days before arrival. Thanks

Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to the arrival date will incur no charge. Bookings cancelled with less than 72 hours notice will incur a one night charge.
You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 3 days before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. You cannot cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a non refundable or prepaid rate.

Can u mention the site you have checkhed this policy.
I am looking at http://www.booking.com . there are lot of hotels available.
and normally hotel policy just states 2 lines like

These are general hotel policies. As they may vary per room type; please also check the room description.

Cancellation
If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.


But there is no mention room specific cancellation policy.

Any body has got any idea.
Please let us know any good site and hotels where we can bookings without getting charged if canceled in advance.

Venere.com, in the past there is no cancellation fee if you cancel it 2 days prior to your arrival date.
A lot of people use it to book 5 stars hotel for 2-4 weeks in the past to con UKBA to look like yuppie. It is only a very naive and an uninformed person is going to believe the hotel booking as proof of accommodation. Where is the point of this proof of accommodation if you could easily cancel it and you have nothing to loose.
