how can i bring my old parents?

Post by tsadeel79 » Mon Aug 22, 2011 6:17 pm

Hi every1,
I need advice. I need to bring my old parents from Pakistan to London. I am on Tier 1 (G) visa with my wife.

My elder brother is also in UK and having British Nationality. My father age 72 and mother age 62 residing in Pakistan with my 2nd brother. Now I want to know how can I or my brother bring them here on long term basis instead on 6 month visiting visa.

Or Can we extent visiting visa after 6 months from UK?

Please advice me ASAP.

Thanks.

They can apply for visit visas and will be granted entry for six months. It is not possible to extend this beyond six months. The can`t settle in the UK if you are not settled (unless your brother is willing to sponsor them) but even then it would require that they are living in exceptional compassionate circumstances.

No, six months is the limit of stay as a visitor.

From what (very little information) you have provided they don't qualify for settlement in the UK. Seek legal advice and tell that person everything about their circumstances. A reputable person would tell you immediately if applications based on their current situation would have any merit.

It may be possible for your brother to sponsor them.
