How long after successful appeal until visa extension is iss

Post by Directive/2004/38/EC » Wed Jun 09, 2010 9:26 pm

My niece was rejected in March for her student visa extension (she is in the Uk studying). In early May her appeal was heard and the appeal was allowed (i.e. she won the appeal).

How long has it taken for UKBA to issue the visa for other people? Any experiences with this???

The grounds UKBA gave were that the school she was going to was closed.

In fact she was registered in a different school and we had informed UKBA of the change of school (with supporting registration documentation from the new school), as well as her change of address.

We in fact had a super document trail, with letters to and from UKBA and our MP.

The 1st Tier judge was very critical of UKBA in the written decision. Not that it matters and not that anyone would care.

It depends on the UKBA about when they would ask for the passport.. There is no fixed time frame..
