How long does it take for the employer to withdraw the CoS?

I have a question about how long does it take for the employer to withdraw the CoS?

I got an offer from a new employer and they confirmed me that I can still work for the notice period for my current employer with their CoS to apply the visa. However, my current employer already issued a CoS for me, with some discussion, my current employer agreed to withdraw the existing CoS. The HR submmitted the request to withdraw the CoS but they are not sure how long it is going to take.

My visa is going to expire soon, I am a little bit worried about the situation. I should also leave some time for the new employer to issue the new CoS and submit the visa application.

Anyone had such kind of experience? Please share with me. Any suggestions are welcomed.

The CAS can be withdrawn instantly. Any delay or turnaround time in doing that is just about the employer's own schedule and workload.

CoS not CAS

Is it, my HR said she requested to withdrawn the CoS, but it seems that it needs to be approved by the Home Office. Not sure how exactly it works. I think I will talk to the new employer and ask them to try. Thanks for your answer.
