How to Noticy Home Office of Termination of UK Tier 2 Visa?

Hello everyone!

I've recently completed a 3 year assignment on a Tier 2 visa and have returned to the US (home country). The last time I went through customs they told me that I needed to notify the Home Office. I left on the day my Visa terminated (Sept 30, 2014) but I can't find anything on the Home Office site which tells me what to do to make this official.

Can anyone help me?

you don't have to notify the HO but keep ticket details etc. in case there is need to prove in future that you left. Your sponsor would have informed the HO that your employment ended.
