How to renew a MVV? Or should I apply for a VVR now?

Post by maverikd » Thu Sep 08, 2011 9:49 am

Can anyone help me please?
My MVV Visa is expiring in Oct 31 2011. I am here for almost 4 months now.

Now, how does one renew the MVV Visa? Can I now apply for VVR?

I already have a Dutch Residence Permit which is valid for another year (well into 2012).

Thanks a lot for helping.
:)

No need to do anything now.
MVV is just the first step in the settlement process; you have already made the second step as you have a Residence Permit for one year already, and this Residence Permit also allows you to travel anywhere in the Schengenzone, or to reenter Schengen after a trip outside Schengen.
When this Residence Permit expires (sometime during next year as you write) it is time to apply for VVR, and it may be a good idea to enquire well in advance with the Gemeente or IND what exactly needs to be done.
