HSMP Approval - finding a job in UK

So you got your HSMP and visa stamp in a passport whats next?

Can someone please sched some light as to how difficult it is to find a job with HSMP temp residence status

I have worked in IT in Australia for the last 4 years. I have a good job and good salary. However, i have always wanted to move to the UK to live and work permanently. What i have doubts about is HSMP visa status (temp resident). I do know that in Australia it is very difficult to find a job without having a Permenent Resident Status. Most of the jobs in Australia will require you to have a PR status. It is like a clause here that open 85% of the market to you.

Is this the Case with the UK job market? Does HSMP temporary visa stamp in a passport mean to the UK employer that you are exactly like a Permanenet resident and he/shewill be satisfied with that?

Can you please comment..It would be great to know about your own experience with the UK job market.

Hi Anna,

Unlike Australia, UK is not that stringent with respect to offering jobs to overseas applicant.

You have right to work in UK as long as you have a valid UK working Visa.

Recruiters/employers in UK are more than happy to take overseas applicants who are holding HSMP visa.
However, I can quote the above for the IT field, not sure for other fields..
