HSMP HELP

Post by navnits » Sun May 16, 2004 10:11 pm

Hi There,

Nice to hear about those who received their HSMP approval. I am currently in UK on a student visa, but have extensive experience in the field of IT training and development of Training materials.

I have just completed my MSC but now on a PHD visa. I have also completed MOUS MASTER instructor, ECDL CTP, ECDL, and TAP training qualification for IT Trainers. I am in process of writing computer books which is approved by the publisher.

Can you tell me whether you think its worth for me to send my application and whether I am allowed to work until my application is processed.

Thanks

Sunny.

If you believe you can get the required amount of points, then go for it. You would probably score high on the education section (however, you cannot use your PhD points until its complete, so maybe you will want to wait). If you have 2+ years work experience and/or had a high salary in the 12 months prior to your studies, that will score you extra points too.

You cannot work until you get approval (and then perhaps change to the right visa from your current PhD one).

If you have just started your PhD, then you still have some time?
