HSMP INCOME BAND

hi Friends

I am planning to apply for HSMP

I got a master degree and i am 33 years old

presently i am a full time student and my prior income ( before i became a full time student) is not sufficient to claim required points(40 )


however i am working part time(20 hours)and doing a highly paid salary

managed to earn gbp 20,000 for the last one year

can any body kindly tell me wether i can claim 40 points on the basis of my
present part time income ( my argument is i do 20 hours and earn 20,000 (iwhich is half of the income band ie £ 40,000) ) i

pls advice me on this regard
