Folks,
I am ready to submit my visa application for the second time. It was rejected first time in April 2007 for following reasons:
1. P60 did not covered all 12 months and i had not supplied bankstatements.
2. The payslips and tax doc amount did not collobrate ( i dont know why they cud not tally it)
Anyways, I applied for review but it did not help.
I am submitting following docs however feel after reading some topics that they may not be sufficient:
1. Age:
Original birth certificate in hindi (without name)
English translation of birth certificate (without name)
letter from municipal saying birth event was not registered hence certificate without name.
(Cert has my parents name specified)
Notarized passport copy
Date of birth certificate issued by Indian embassy
2. Qualification:
Original master degree in english
3. Previous earning section
Original payslips for last 12 months: july'06- jun'07
Bank statements for same period
Letter from company explaining gross and net for july'06-jun'07
4. English criteria
Original degree in english
letter from university saying it was taught in english language
Original transcript confirming date of issue
Please advice on the following lines:
1. Since they may not accept passport copy, is date of birth certificate good enough to be as proof of age. In my case will they consider
I am really tensed as for what if they call the respective places and dont get through to confirm the details.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Cheers!!

When your earlier application was refused, was there any indication that you'd been awarded the age points? The original birth certificate along with that letter from the municipality would seem to me to be acceptable along with the passport copy (which gives your name), but not so that date-of-birth certificate. Others on this board have not been granted age points using the date-of-birth certificates. AG

Yes, I was awarded points for age in my first application as expected with following given:
1. English translated birth certificate by municipal corporation.
2. Letter from municipal corporation stating birth event name not registered.
3. Passport copy.
I am worried about would this be acceptable this time as well. I am going through london based agency this time and they asked me to get letter from municipal corporation clearly stating reasons for name not issued and also provied original birth cert in hindi.
I have read on this forum and have following concerns:
1. Municipal has refused to issue me any other letter.
2. Original letter is in hindi and translation in english both given my munisipal but they refuse to certify that english is exact translation of hindi. Some people have got refusal for this also.
Therefore, I had applied for date of birth certificate from indian embassy. It says' Birth Certificate' on top of letter.
Please advice.

The documents you submitted in your first application were obviously sufficient to gain the points; even if the embassy gave you a date-of-birth certificate entitled 'birth certificate' it's not clear that that will suffice on its own (since, from what I can tell, embassies do not have a mandate to issue birth certificates).
And the translation needs to be completed by a certified translator.

Documents did suffice. Strange enough because I had not submitted my original hindi document instead had just given the english translation.
So do you reckon that if i submit original in hindi + original in english + municipal letter + passport . It would suffice.
The translation is provided by the same organization who issued the original. Do I still need to get any kind of notarization or any other evidence to support the same.
For US and all embassy issued birth certificates does helps though. HSMP seems to be too critical about evrything.
Thanks,

Another concern is with respect to university docs. Is the letter from university good enough or letter from college also is needed?
