You need to complete 5 years from the date of entry/date of HSMP visa stamp. You need to provide these dates to see which one applies to you. Whether you need to apply for extension or not depends on this.suis wrote:Hi all,
i have been initially granted for my visa under HSMP by March-2008 for 2 years,
and then when i extend my visa Home office issued me my visa under TIER1 for 3 years which will expire by March -2013
now my question is officially i have been living for UK for more than 5 yrs by March-2012 ,
so i am eligible to apply for ILR by March-2013 or do i need to extend my VISA under tier1 again for another 2 years ?
its bit a confuse of what i am going to do in here ? but according to my research on google i can see i can apply for ILR ?
but coule some one confirm this to me ?
thanks
regards

cs95tdg wrote:From the information uou have provided on this thread, you should be able to make the application yourself, either by post or in person. But you will need to spend sometime reading the SET(O) form and guidance/immigration rules as has already been suggested. Note that some immigration policy changes are due to come into effect on December 13th, so do also keep an eye out for announcements on the UKBA website.
