HSMP Visa Extension Application

Respectable Sirs/Madam,

Can I please ask for your expert advice on when is it advisable to submit my HSMP extension if my prior visa expires on 13March2012.

The reason I am asking this is because of my job situation. How sooner can I go ahead with submission.
