IAFT-2 APPEAL

My wife just received her Notice of Decision for a settlement visa.

They refused purely because they couldn't get in touch with my employers! I enclosed a letter from employer, pay slips and bank statements.

I am appealing against the decision and have got a new letter from employer (with mobile number), P60, bank statements (showing wages paid in), and pay slips.

Someone mentioned I need to re-send all the original documents, but from my understanding they are just requesting 'additional documents'.

Can someone please clarify?

Are you sure this is the exact reason for refusal?.

Its very very rare that they would do it on this basis. Please us know the exact wording of the refusal as per the refusal notice before we can advise further.

the exact wording is:

In support of your application you have provided your sponsors employment letter purporting to originate from XXX however after various attempts to verify your sponsors employment we were unable to do so. As such I cannot immediately be satisfied your sponsors employment is as claimed.

Is your company genuine, why didnt it answer phone or email?

You will need another letter of confirmation of employment with more details of the contact person at your employers ( his phone.mobile and email) who will be able to confirm your employment.

It will be a good idea for your employer to be aware of an incoming call from ECO.

No you only need to send the letter I have stated above along with the IAF2 form as well as the original refusal notice.

They already have your previous documents, so there is no need to send them again
