ICT short term visa (less than 12 months) doubt after 12 mon

Hi,
I have doubt regarding ICT short term is expired after 12 months.
Doubts are as follows:

-I heard that after 12 months i can't extend my visa from UK?
Infact i can't even extend and have to go there in home country
and stay there for 12 months and then apply for ICT again?
Is it true ?I am kind of tensed hearing this rule.


-If above point is correct what is other way to get Visa.Can i go home and apply Tier2 General/Business visa or what are options available.I will be in mid of some project when my visa period will be over.Please suggest.

As per my understanding.. and let me clarify I am not an expert.. just trying to help here.

your wife has no options for extension or to switch into any other category within UK.


the options from out of country are as follows -

tier-2 ICT Long term
- this cannot be in-country swtich i.e. the application needs to apply from outside UK

tier-2 General

Business visa

I am assuming that you are here on a dependent visa in the UK.
