The IELTS results are issued within 5 working days. Unfortunately for my wife her results were delayed for almost 2 weeks due to some system errors and the results were withheld in UK but, normally shouldn't take longer than 5 days. Also, if its A1 result, i was advised that they don't post these online on the portal, you will just get informed when they have the certificate. They will not be able to tell you the results on the phone either, only when your wife actually receives the physical copy of the cert.

For your second question, i'm not sure if you can actually print the test cert online.

The IELTS result is usually given within 5-7 working days. In the case of my wife, she received hers in 6 days which was a printout of the certificate. I got her to scan and email me it, then I PDF’d it and uploaded it onto VFS document portal

Thanks, guys, btw uj95, regarding the uploading onto the portal.., I was actually hoping to use the walk-in service for submitting documentation, do you think a scanned copy will be acceptable?

I was informed the portal is the last resort due to formatting issues.
(order of recommendation given to me was 1) walk-in service, 2) postal service and 3) uploading via the portal)

Yes copy of this should be fine
